Year 5 have had an amazing start to the year; they came back to school a day early last week and went to PGL in Hindhead for 3 days. The weather was excellent and it helped make it a fabulous few days for both staff and boys.
The purpose of the trip was to encourage team work whilst getting to know each other in a slightly different environment. Boys were given so many different opportunities including raft building, abseiling, quad biking and leaping from the ‘Powerfan’. Powerfan is a personal favourite of mine as it is basically a 60 foot telegraph pole with a platform at the top. Once you reach the summit you literally leap off without a care in the world; the fan and rope then combine to ease you to the ground.
The boys behaviour was exemplary and it helped to make this one of the best trips we have had.
