Year 9 visited the RAF museum. They learnt about how planes and technology have changed from the invention of the aircraft in 1903 to the modern day and discovered the impact this has had on warfare which links in with their GCSE History Topic of WWI.
The boys then visited Kelvedon Hatch ‘secret’ Nuclear Bunker. The Bunker had been active until the early 1990s and was where the PM and Government at the time would have taken shelter during a nuclear attack, with the purpose of running the government from there. The Bunker is open to the public and we highly recommend a visit.
