Kingswood House Senior Drama group performed ‘Oliver’ to full houses at the Adrian Mann Theatre, NESCOT this week. Outstanding singing, with solos from many boys, plus well known favourites, sung with huge enthusiasm, left the audience wanting more.
The Senior Drama Groups’ production of Oliver was an outstanding success and played to a full house on two evenings last week. Performances from the whole cast were excellent, the lead actors and singers and those who had a solo or just one line, all gave their total commitment to the musical. Superb costumes, sets and staging added to the truly professional and accomplished production.
As the Producer, Mrs Phillipa Watkins, highlighted in her programme notes, Kingswood House has a link to the film Oliver as Harry Secombe, who played Mr Bumble, sent his son to Kingswood House.
She also commented ‘The cast worked for three days at the theatre prior to opening night which proved very fruitful with the cast and crew working as a team, which is what drama is all about’.
