The cricket season came very early for the boys of Kingswood House School as former England opening batsman Marcus Trescothick paid a visit to the school. He talked to the boys, many of whom are in county development squads, about what it takes to be a top class cricketer and then led a rigorous workshop which covered all aspects of the game.
A tired but excited pupil, Tomas Sehgal, spoke for all the boys when he said, ‘It was fantastic to be coached by such a great cricketer’. Marcus concluded his memorable visit by signing autographs and answering questions.
Marcus Trescothick, MBE played first-class cricket for Somerset County Cricket Club, and represented England in 76 Test matches and 123 One Day Internationals.
