Headmaster's Talk

Kingswood House is a thriving day preparatory school in the heart of the Epsom community. All pupils flourish and, because of the size of the School, everyone is challenged to succeed - whether it be academically, in sport, music, drama, art or other areas.

We know each child and his or her family individually so that they know what works for them, to enable them to participate fully in every aspect of school life. This is achieved through offering a secure, caring and friendly environment that instils a happiness and willingness to learn. This, we believe, is the secret of our success.

We pride ourselves on being part of the community and we have strong links with the local church and its congregation, where we hold our Easter and Christmas services. We also have a thriving Toddler Group that meets every Tuesday (1:30pm to 3:15pm) and Wednesday (9:30am to 11am) during term time.

We have strong relationships with senior schools and I travel willingly to all the schools to discuss individual pupils so that they can be sure they are moving on to the right place for them. This is one of the reasons why our pupils achieve outstanding results with scholarships being awarded annually to schools such as Epsom College, St John's Leatherhead, City of London Freemen's, King's College Wimbledon, Box Hill and Ewell Castle and other local establishments.
