Michael Harding (1930s)
Mr Harding died on 10th October 2011 at the age of 90 years old. He was our Head Boy in 1934 and was offered a place at Queens College Cambridge for 1939/40 but sadly could not take up the place due to the outbreak of the Second World War. The Harding House Cup was presented each year to the winning House at Prize Giving and Mr Harding visited the School many times.

Dr Neil Burman (1961)
The eminent Australian dentist and Chair of the Western Australia Dental Board died on 11th September 2011 whilst attending a dental conference in Sydney, Australia. Dr Burman was also a journalist, writer of film scores, a television presenter, an author and a musician.
"Neil was the glue that held a huge number of people together all over the world. His creativity, sense of humour, passion, energy and friendship will be sorely missed."

James Addicott (2003) is now in his final year at Exeter University studying a BSc in Biological Sciences. Meanwhile, his brother Richard Addicott (2006) is in his first year at Bournemouth University studying a BA in Multi-Media Journalism.
Max Chandler (2010) has been selected to represent Oxfordshire County U15 XV and has also been appointed its Captain. They recently played St Peter's School from York with Oxon winning 20-18. Well done Max!
Nicholas Cookson (1968) is a self-employed food consultant and has many good memories of KHS including weeking boarding in his last year, the West Hill open air swimming baths, having fun with the teachers, Sports Day with endless summers and friends.
James Culff (2010) is enjoying lift at Whitgift after he went there on a Sports Scholarship. His U12 football squad won a semi-final of the English Schools FA National Cup and he has also been on a 10-day cricket tour to Dubai.
Alexander Dickinson (2004) is a Private in the British Army serving with the 1st BN. Princess of Wales Royal Regiment. He is currently serving on the frontline in Afghanistan.
Henry Elburn (2007) is currently a GCSE and International Baccalaureate student at Box Hill School. He remembers being Captain of Cricket and the Jersey Tour.
John Gardner (1961) went on to study Civil Engineering at City University, London and particularly remembers the Saturday evening film club and playing in the School's rugby team. He has been lucky enough to work on some major projects including the construction of the M5 motorway, the Humber Bridge and the outer bypass of Kuwait. He is also keen to hear from any of his former KHS classmates.
Jeffery Gowlland (1965) went on to study Textiles & General Commodities and became the MD of his own textile company.
Dr David Howlett (1977) went on to Kings College Hospital in London and is now a consultant radiologist.
Peter Howlett (1979) studied Law and is now self-employed in the advertising industry.
Richard (Dick) Jackson (1958) visited the School in September 2011 for a tour and a trip down memory lane. Dick now lives in Canada and is a hydrogeologist. He kindly donated a number of old school photos and was taken round the School by our current Head Boy. Dick says he is very keen to hear from any of his contemporaries.
Alkis Koursaros (1982) is now a Management & Business Lecturer at Cardiff. He says KHS was a fun place to learn and he made a number of great friends.
Simon Lyszyk (2000) is currently studying for his Music degree at Leeds College of Music. Among his memories from KHS, he recalls being introduced to jazz while at the School.
Stephen Mann (1985) is Deputy Headteacher at Wildern School.
James March (1984) is an English teacher having studied English & American Literature at the University of Kent. He says among his memories of KHS are "the smell of mown grass and the first marking out of the running track each year, poetry lessons with the ever-enthusiastic Mr Scott-Malden, pony-trekking trips to the Mendips with Mr Brooks and Mr Davey, an unbelievably cold swimming pool and a host of fine teachers."
Dr Ronald Marsh (1952) went onto Tiffins after KHS and is now a retired ophthalmic surgeon.
Alastair Mercer (2002) went on to Warsash Maritime Academy to study Nautical Science. He is now a Deck Officer.
Keith Michel (1961) studied Archeology & Anthropology and then Law. He is now a retired solicitor and visiting professor at University College London.
Christopher Price (1970) is a teacher and co-owner of Merton Court School in Kent. He also has a BA (Hons) in Theology having studied at Sussex. His brother, Dominic, is Merton Court School's Headmaster.
Alexander Sale (2003) is now studying BA (Hons) Industrial Design at Bournemouth having left Ewell Castle after KHS.
Trevor Sears (1961) played in the 1st XI KHS cricket team and was captain of boxing. He remains in touch with several of his former classmates and is now a senior partner at a leading West End law firm. He is also Vice President of the Old Epsomian Club.
Simon Smith (1975) is Head of TV Operations at BBC Television Centre.
Robert Swisher (1970) was Head Boy in his last year. The family moved to Florida and he worked in the corporate world for 11 years and in IT and business education for the last 24 years. He says he would be very interested to learn the whereabouts of any of his former classmates. The last year he was at KHS, Mr Thorne named his form 'NATO' because of the number of different countries represented in the class!
Congratulations to Milo Taylor (2010) who is now the U14 Cricket Captain at Shiplake - they also got through to the Oxfordshire County Cup!
Simon Tracey (1987) is a Senior Account Director in Marketing. He says he has very fond memories of KHS in the 1980s particularly Mr Harvey and Mr Brooks, who was Deputy Head at the time and promoted Simon to Head Boy.
Tim Trent (1965) worked in the IT industry and has taken early retirement in Dartmouth, Devon. He's still in touch with some old KHS classmates and would be happy to meet more.
Dr Fredrik Verkroost (1967) has a PhD and BSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. He is CEO of XPower Technologies Ltd and is Director of four other companies. He comments that he didn't speak a word of English when he arrived with Common Entrance only 15 months away. He also broke the long jump record at KHS.
Matthew Wade (2004) is studying Biomedial Science at Sheffield University. He remembers the epic Leavers' trip in Year 8, winning and losing many chess matches, Marlborough House Days and inspiring lessons. Meanwhile, his brother Nicholas Wade (2006) is hoping to study Geography. His memories include the end of Common Entrance and the friendly KHS atmopshere.
Hans Werkhoven (1985) lives in The Netherlands and is a mechanical engineer and Team Leader. He says he has very fond memories of KHS and that the education and experience were an immense help for further education and work.
